St Mary & St Peter’s has a great history and yet is also the newest parish in the Area, having been formed in 2018 out of the former Parish of Staines in order to better enable the church’s mission and ministry in our beautiful riverside town.

Both churches are located by the banks of the River Thames at the most westerly part of the Diocese of London, right on the edge of the greenbelt countryside of Surrey and Berkshire.

This is an exciting time for us and we are ready for the challenge of a fresh start with a new vicar to lead us. We are an open and welcoming community of Christians, respecting, encouraging and enjoying a range of Anglican traditions and worship styles. Our congregations are diverse and we value and support our differences. Our aim is to seek God and his vision for us as His church, in order to love and serve the wider community of Staines.
