St Mary's Carer and Toddler Group
Span Carer & Toddler Group meets for pre school children in St Mary’s Church Hall, 10am - 12pm on Wednesdays during term time.
A suggested donation of £2 per family applies, which covers craft materials and refreshments.
Our hall is small which means we are a very cosy group when it comes to singing, accompanied by Ellen on guitar. Fortunately, we are able to use the main body of the church for craft and more energetic activities also the churchyard for nature trails. We offer painting every week, followed by a craft activity involving glue, clay, food or anything that is safe, fun and seasonal. We provide fresh fruit, biscuits, squash and hot drinks. Often, parents provide cake to celebrate a child’s birthday
At 11.45 a.m. What’s in the Box?
Wednesday Worship for Diddy Disciples.
We come together to listen to a Bible Story and welcome each other to our worship space with our opening prayer. Sometimes we have a song matched to the story. We send round the group small holding crosses for a time of personal prayer for any who wish to do so. We finish by saying The Grace, with actions.
The emphasis is on encouraging each child to grow in their own spirituality and to share a time of worship, like Christians down the ages.
It is also a time for their adults to engage in worship too.
The group has existed nearly 40 years. Many of our current helpers once attended when their children were little. We hope we are able to provide a sympathetic ear or a helping hand.
While necessary, Covid measures will be adhered to.
Therefore, we may need alter the events that take place.
The use of hand gel and regular hand washing is encouraged.
Should you or your child be unwell please help keep everyone safe by staying at home. Thank you for your support.
