Accessibility
St Peter’s
At St Peter’s we are keen to make our buildings and services accessible for everyone and, if you are new to our parish, we look forward to welcoming you to one of our services. To help you decide if our church is suitable for you, please read the descriptions below of our building and facilities.
The order of service can be emailed to your own tablet if that would help your participation in the service.
Entrances & Exits
Our front entrance has 3 steps to the main door, with a metal handrail on the left-hand side. Inside there is a porch area and a second door, leading to the back of the nave.
Once inside the first door, access to the rest of the church, including the coffee area, is completely step-free for the congregation.

Access Ramps
Our Access Ramp is around the corner of the building to the left of the main entrance, with an accessible parking space alongside. This entrance gives access to the front of the nave.
An access ramp also gives step-free access to our Hall where our toilets are located.
Seating
Our services take place in the nave. We have comfortable, very solid, free-standing chairs, without arms, which can easily be moved to accommodate wheelchairs.
Communion
Communion is administered at the front of the nave. If you would prefer communion to be brought to you at your seat, please let a member of our welcome team know when you arrive. They will be wearing badges identifying who they are.
Our services are displayed on screens placed either side of the altar and the slides are designed with accessibility for everyone in mind.
Hearing & Sound
We have a great sound system which ensures that every moment of the service can be heard clearly.
This is accompanied by a hearing loop for those who have hearing aids. Please turn your aid to T to access it.
Toilets
Toilets, including a large, accessible toilet with shower, are available in the church hall, next door to the church. A ramp gives step-free access to the hall and toilets.
